Ranhill is a strategic business affiliate of Sadec Group. The Sadec Group has supported Ranhill in project development work relating to highways and water supply projects. Sadec Group draws on the technical and engineering capability of Ranhill on some of its own undertakings.
From modest beginnings as a partnership in 1973, Ranhill today has developed into Malaysia’s premier engineering services provider servicing a multitude of industries and playing an integral role in the modernisation and industrialisation of Malaysia and the surrounding region. Ranhill now provides the full range of engineering capability in several sectors including Petroleum and Chemical, Power, Water Supply, Infrastructure, Maritime and Environment, Transportation, Building, Construction, Manufacturing and Telecommunications. Ranhill also provides procurement, construction and project management services.
In selected industries its services extend to cover complete turnkey responsibility. In the Malaysian state of Johore, Ranhill is undertaking highway and bridge, and water supply development on full turnkey basis, including project financing and initial operatorship. The combined value of these projects is in excess of RM2.4 billion (USD 600 million).
Ranhill is proud to have participated in many of Malaysia’s milestone projects which include the PETRONAS Kuala Lumpur City Centre (world’s tallest building), the Selangor Privatised Water Supply system (largest in the country), the PLUS North-South Expressway (longest in the country), the Johore Second Crossing township (largest comprehensive new township), the Time Telekom Fibre Optic Network (first in the country), the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Main Terminal, and the
Tenaga Nasional’s 500 kV Power Transmission Grid (first in the country).
