The 13th Asian Games comprises 38 sports events, the Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony. Of these, a total of 14 sports events will be free of charge. These events are

Canoeing,
Equestrian,
Golf,
Handball,
Hockey,
Kabaddi,
Rowing,
Rugby,
Softball,
Soft Tennis,
Squash and
Yatching.

Smart Technology has been used for the tickets. The Rajamanagala National Stadium is equipped with ticket scanning equipment to enable "smart card" tickets.
