| This air-conditioned indoor stadium can house 16,000 spectators, with 13,000 permanent seats and 3,000 retractable seats. It boasts a rectangular indoor arena of 69m by 39.4m, which is adjustable, enabling it to cater for various indoor sports activities ranging from boxing, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis, fencing, handball, judo, wrestling, gymnastics and five-a-side soccer. It has full colour video matrix scoreboard, 103dB sound system, whilst the floodlighting system is pre-programmed for 1500 lux. In this XXI Sea Games 2001, all Gymnastics events will be held at this stadium, with Billiards & Snooker held at Gym 1 of the National Sports Complex. | ||||
